Blade Intensive Beef Scheme
Blade Farming is an independent supply chain management business. They facilitate and manage a controlled and well organised beef supply chain from genetics to point of sale to the abattoir.
The BOCM PAULS and Blade Farming partnership aims to sign up black and white finishers across the country to increase the number of Holstein bulls produced for beef production and cater for the growing market for this meat.
The scheme uses a network of dairy farmers to rear under contract according to a strict protocol to turn them into profitable finished animals with a guaranteed market and contract.
The ration plays a vital role in the growth rate and sales value of the animal, because it has a major influence on the final quality and flavour of the meat that is produced.
